The Tennergy Corporation

The Tennergy Corporation began operations in 1998 as a joint venture among the member systems of Jackson Utility Division (now Jackson Energy Authority), Humboldt Utilities, and Brownsville Utility Division. Tennergy is an energy acquisition corporation as provided by the laws of the State of Tennessee. The Corporation’s purpose is to purchase and resale of natural gas to municipal utilities and public utility districts at competitive prices. Tennergy structures natural gas prepayment projects that allow public gas systems to receive a discount off of their monthly gas pricing.
