Danny Wheeler
Chairman
Mr. Wheeler is the President & CEO of Jackson Energy Authority (JEA) and was asked to serve as a Director of Tennergy in November 1999. Prior to his present position at JEA, Mr. Wheeler was the Senior Vice President of the Electric Division and the Chief Financial Officer.
Before coming to JEA, he was in marketing and business development with Allen & Hoshall Architects and Engineers. He was also a co-owner and president of a successful retail computer franchise and was a sales engineer at Power & Telephone Supply.
Mr. Wheeler earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Tennessee. He is a registered professional engineer in Tennessee.
Vicky Wright
Secretary
Mrs. Wright has served as Secretary of Tennergy since its incorporation in 1998 in addition to her position as Corporate Secretary of Jackson Energy Authority (JEA) and Secretary to JEA's Board of Directors. Prior to this, she was Secretary to the Manager of the Jackson Utility Division's gas system from 1977 to 1995.
Mrs. Wright is a graduate of Jackson State Community College.
John F. Sharpe
Treasurer
Mr. Sharpe has served as the Treasurer of Tennergy since January 1998. In addition, he served as General Manager of Brownsville Utilities Department's electric, gas, water, wastewater and propane systems from 1997 until his retirement in December 2007. Mr. Sharpe began his career with the Brownsville Utilities Department in 1961 as a summer employee and served as Assistant Manager from 1964 to 1977.
Mr. Sharpe is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Philip E. Bell
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Bell has served as Tennergy’s Vice President of Energy Supply since March 1998, with responsibility for developing and managing long-term supply acquisition projects for the benefit of municipal gas distribution systems and public utility districts. He also has the day-to-day responsibilities of managing customer pipeline and storage capacity, as well as the financial risk management activities provided by Tennergy to its customer base. Prior to March 1998, Mr. Bell served as Director of Energy Supply for Jackson Energy Authority’s (Jackson, TN) Gas Division. Mr. Bell began his career with Jackson Utility Division (now known as Jackson Energy Authority) in 1974 and held various positions in the utility industry, including Engineering Technical Supervisor and Supervisor of Gas Marketing.
He is a graduate of Lambuth University (Jackson, TN) where he received the degree of Bachelor’s of Business Administration (B.B.A., Management) and the University of Tennessee where he received a Master’s of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree.
Richard S. Clark, PE
Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Clark joined The Tennergy Corporation in 2000 as a Project Manager, responsible for developing, designing and managing natural gas related projects including system expansions, relocations, and Meter and Regulation Stations. In addition to construction projects, Mr. Clark has been directly involved with regulatory compliance issues, natural gas system load models, and GIS projects. In March 2005, Mr. Clark was promoted to Vice President, given additional organizational and administrative duties which require natural gas engineering proficiency in order to advance Tennergy as an authority in natural gas engineering. From 1996 until 2000, Mr. Clark was a Project Engineer for H + M Architects/ Engineers and James + Associates, Inc. responsible primarily for utility design projects as well as general civil engineering projects. From 1991 until 1996, Mr. Clark worked as a Natural Gas Safety Engineer with the Tennessee Regulatory Authority charged with regulatory compliance audits for natural gas operators in Tennessee. He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Kentucky.
Braxton Williams

Mechele Williams
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mrs. Williams has served as Tennergy’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since January 2007. She is responsible for financial reporting, budget development, long-range financial planning, and risk management. Prior to joining Tennergy, Mrs. Williams worked with Jackson Energy Authority and served in various capacities including Vice President of Internal Control from 2003 until 2007, Vice President of Finance from 1997 until 2003, and Financial Analyst from 1993 until 1997. Prior to her utility career, she worked as a consumer lender with First American Bank. Mrs. Williams is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She received her M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
